Our History:
Aatria Healthcare provides Adult Rehabilitation Mental Health Services (ARMHS) to improve the quality of life of adult individuals living with the challenges of mental health disorder through person centred intervention, advocacy, education, and support. The founders of Aatria Healthcare have over 28+ years of collective experience in working with diverse populations within healthcare. Aatria Healthcare Services was created from a need that was seen in the community.
Aatria Healthcare Services aims to reduce disparities that contribute to mental health care and address culturally specific barriers to services delivery like scarcity, language, transportation, and mental health stigma.
Aatria Healthcare Services LLC will collaborate, foster and advocate for individuals experiencing trauma, mental health illness, and addiction to find their unique path in their chosen community by learning essential skills to overcome barriers in their daily tasks. Aatria aims to achieve this mission through the use of proven mental healthcare approaches, behavioral treatments, and psychiatric rehabilitative practices. Aatria Healthcare Services promotes person centered customized care to incorporate individuals beliefs in attaining what was perceived as unattainable.
Our vision is to propel individuals to initiate and pursue activities as well as enhancing social, physical, and emotional wellbeing while gaining mental stability. Aatria Healthcare believes in coaching individuals to develop coping skills aimed at identifying traumatic events, working through mental health condition to avert mental health challenges through interventions, education, skill building, advocacy, and culture specific personalized care.
Our staff will make appropriate referrals of community resources like food benefits, and housing for the client and their families so the client can focus on their mental health services.
Currently Aatria Health Services has staff that Speak English, Somali and Amharic and we anticipate hiring staff that are fluent in the language of our clients. We will inquire the need of interpreter services at intake, and if necessary, request an interpreter for each session.
Many of our clients lack the financial resources to own a reliable vehicle and using public transportation is difficult with young children. Our staff will assist clients obtain bus-passes, teach them how to utilize public transportation when needed, and assist in identifying other transportation resources. Staff will also remain flexible in scheduling clients during times that work for them and their transportation.
Due to the mental health stigma, many clients and their families do not have a positive information about mental health and how the mental health system works. We will provide detailed information to client and their families. We will help them understand and educate them what services are available, how they can request and receive them.
